The Saïd Foundation publishes its 2019 annual review

The Saïd Foundation is delighted to share its 2019 annual review which is dedicated to the Foundation’s achievements in education since its creation nearly forty years ago.

In his foreword to the Review, our Chairman Wafic Saïd highlighted some of impact that the Foundation has been making over the recent years including awarding a total of over 1100 scholarships, 627 of which are scholarships for the brightest talent from the Middle East to undertake postgraduate studies in the UK and elsewhere, and over 280 scholarships for students from around the world to study for an MBA or a DPhil at the Saïd Business School. The Foundation has committed almost £27.5 million to funding for scholarships over that period.

Another highlight of this Review is a few success stories from our Scholarships Programme alumni and the impact they have been making in the region since the Foundation has supported them to study in the UK many years ago. The review also features two stories of inspiring Syrian refugees who were supported by the UNHCR DAFI Scholarship Programme in Jordan.
