Alumna Mona Jebril has recently published an article in the Times Higher Education about her experiences as a Gazan student studying in the UK. Mona Jebril received a Said Foundation in 2005/06 to study for an MSt in Educational Studies at the University of Oxford. In her article Mona reflects on her experiences when she travelled from her home in Gaza to the UK and explains why it is important for UK universities to understand the challenges students from conflict areas face when coming to the UK to study.
