St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital

The Saïd Foundation is supporting the St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital Group (SJEHG) in Gaza. SJEHG’s Gaza hospital which normally provides care to around 40,000 patients each year was forced to close at the onset of the conflict, suspending operations for several months.

Our support to SJEHG’s Gaza appeal is helping to restore vital eye care services in Gaza, where the ongoing conflict has placed tens of thousands at risk of serious vision loss or blindness. This includes the provision of urgently needed medical supplies, equipment, and assistance to repair damaged facilities, all essential for resuming and expanding access to these life-changing services.
