Carlos Blanco

The 2020 Saïd MBA the prize was awarded to Carlos Blanco from Australia.

Carlos has worked for several years in different sectors to drive systems change in Australia. He has previously worked at the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation where he led an innovative program for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people that helped redefine the narrative on indigenous tertiary education from deficit to excellence. He has also worked at Nous Group, one of Australia’s leading management consulting firms, where he redesigned service systems, developed impact strategies, designed new business and operating models, and supported organisations to develop and implement impact measurement frameworks.

At the Saїd Business School, Carlos was co-chair of the Social Impact Oxford Business Network where he helped to showcase the Social Impact superstars in his MBA cohort and connected his classmates to social impact careers. About his MBA experience at the Saїd Business School, Carlos said “I came to SBS wanting to explore in more detail the role the private sector can play to drive forward the Sustainable Development Goals. I have left more optimistic that purpose, impact and innovation in the private sector will play a critical role to address the complex challenges we face.”
