Hands Up for Syria Appeal – two years on
In 2016 the Hands Up for Syria Appeal raised a total of £4,129,841 from generous donors.
In 2016 the Asfari Foundation, the Said Foundation and the Hands Up Foundation organised the The Hands Up for Syria Appeal. A total of £4,129,841 was raised from generous donors. This amount was then matched by the Chairmen of the Asfari and Said Foundations, Mr Ayman Asfari and Mr Wafic Said, bringing the total to £8,259,682.
The money was given to Save the Children, the International Rescue Committee and the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) to be spent on educating children and young people in Syria and surrounding countries.
